The Charities
GALS Charitable Foundation is pleased once again to be hold our 7th Annual Charity Gala to raise money and awareness for two wonderful charities! The Shade Tree Shelter and Angels of East Africa. In 2010, we were proud to have raised $16,148.56 and actor Gerard Butler (300) matched those funds for a total GRAND TOTAL of $32,297.12 for The Shade Tree Shelter through our auctions, raffles and donations. In addition, other non-cash items (ie. gift cards, clothing, toiletries, etc.) were collected through the year and presented to The Shade Tree Shelter on behalf of GALS Charitable Foundation.- Angels of East AfricaAngels of East Africa is a non-profit aid organisation established to provide a better future for orphaned children of war in Southern Sudan. Angels of East Africa (AOEA), founded in 1998 by Machine Gun Preacher Sam Childers, has rescued over a thousand orphaned children from starvation, disease and enslavement by the brutal Lord’s Resistance Army. Today these children live in the Children’s Village, a secure compound and oasis of calm in the Southern Sudanese village of Nimule. Our Saturday Night Charity Gala entails intricate settings highlighting the chosen theme. Whether it be celebrating a "Gathering of the Fans" in the hall of a Scottish castle or "going glam" for a night of Vintage Hollywood, you'll enjoy the festive spectacle! Grab your masks and join us for this year's "MASQUERADE!"

Community Service
Each year, attendees travel to The Shade Tree, in North Las Vegas. Some of us get physical and roll up our sleeves to sort through clothing, serve lunch or plant a garden. Others enjoy giving special attention to the children by reading books or playing, providing a much-needed break to weary mothers. Whatever the task, participants leave TST feeling determined to help others break the cycle of domestic abuse!
